What is Biomechanics?

A musculoskeletal (MSK) assessment involves a thorough examination of the joints, muscles, tendons and soft-tissue structures of the lower limb. All anatomical structures ranging from the hips down to the toes are thoroughly examined. This is part of the biomechanical assessment where the function of the lower limbs and feet are examined.

The results of these assessments will determine why you are having the problems and what the likely causes are. In addition, the results become the fundamentals for your orthotic prescription, which will help improve foot alignment and function.
